Your thoughts?
Watched Attack the Block very recently and it is an excellent wee horror/sci-fi movie, which actually made me believe in the UK film industry again. Drive and Meek’s Cutoff are both excellent genre movies, whilst Beginners is quirkily compelling and a whole lot better than the uneven Crazy, Stupid Love – besides Melanie Laurent is a million times better looking than Emma Stone.
Can’t wait to catch up! Thanks for commenting!
What? No Bloodlust Zombies on this list? How’s about a “Worst of the Year”?
I have to check out a few of these.
Gnomeo and Juliet/That’s What I Am
Where’s Rio or Contagion, both great films. I will admit, I haven’t seen many of your top ten, though. And I wanna see a worst list too, of what you’ve seen so far at least.
Haven’t seen Contagion, Rio would be in my top 15. I’ve skipped most of the bad films so far, but I couldn’t escape Gnomeo and Juliet and That’s What I Am. Those are the bad two.
Bridesmaids, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Drive, Midnight In Paris. These absolutely make my top ten.
Bridesmaids and Rise just missed it.
Movies you need to catch up on: Drive and Midnight in Paris are very good. Can’t say the same for Meek’s Cutoff.
Okay, thanks, I’ll keep that in mind.
[...] Best Films of the Year So Far What I’m watching: [...]
From your list, I enjoyed Win Win, Cedar Rapids, Source Code, Lincoln Lawyer and Moneyball.
I am still playing catchup myself, but my top four would probably be Drive, Moneyball, 50/50 and 13 Assassins. Definitely check those out if you haven’t already.
Okay, I will! Thank you!
